Meet David Allen Huggins
PRESIDENT / CEO OF RIVER CITY SECURITY AND INVESTIGATIONS
Allen was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. A 1988 graduate of East Ridge High School, Allen has spent a lifetime in public service in the Chattanooga area.
Allen began his law enforcement career with the Chattanooga Police Department in 1989, where he worked for 28 years before retiring. During his tenure with the CPD, Allen served in the Patrol Division as well as the Traffic Division, where he was certified as a traffic accident reconstructionist and a DUI instructor. Throughout his career with the CPD, Allen attended numerous specialized training classes, honing his skills as a professional law enforcement officer.
Additionally, Allen owned and operated a vending business for over 16 years, where he proudly served companies and individuals in and around Chattanooga and North Georgia. With that business, he was able to provide gainful employment for many residents of this area for close to two decades.
In 2017, Allen started River City Security and Investigations LLC with a desire to fill a void in our geographical area – providing security and investigative services with integrity, professionalism, and passion. With Allen’s leadership, the business quickly grew from just a few employees serving a few businesses in the Chattanooga area, to now employing more than 300 people and having operations in five states.
Allen’s experience and training in law enforcement for almost three decades have given him the knowledge and insight to build River City Security and Investigations LLC into a premier security provider. With a great number of his employees having a background in law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services, as well as military careers, Allen can provide clients with a high level of professional security officers that many other companies simply can’t match.
Allen also believes in giving back to the community, both locally and across the nation, supporting various causes, including the Tahlequah Cherokee reservation and various little league ball teams. He truly lives out Luke 12:48, in that whom much is given, much is required.
